Erinn & Janet Kleinn
Ngeringa Estate

Parked out the back of the Adelaide Hills and armed with a single minded reverence for the art, the tradition and the mystique of fine wine, Janet and Erinn Klein are following a dream of sorts. Together they have been through France, Italy, Spain and Germany gathering experience and inspiration, whilst formally studying both viticulture and winemaking at Adelaide University. They firmly believe in health-driven vineyard character and follow a new-fangled holistic approach that some of you may have heard of called biodynamics. Check it out, it's all the rage these days!
Q&A

Is there a wine or a person that inspires you as a winemaker?
Our epiphany came in 2001, knowing that the traditions of old world winemaking were our inspiration, we met Julian Castagna from which we learnt that those traditions are possible here in Australia.  Since then, we've found others who also revere the old traditions and more so, biodynamic wine growing, Gilles Lapulus, Saverio Petrelli especially... these guys inspire us.
