Alex Head
Head Wines

Many people met Alex Head as the man who worked the busy desk of the Ultimo Wine Centre, a breeding ground for many a talented Australian wine industry star. From there he ventured off to the world of wine auctions and clasped, patted and admired many a fine and rare wine, indeed, he was often found quietly stroking his chin and dreaming of making something great himself one day. Vintage experience at Torbreck, Tyrrells, Cirillo and Laughing Jack combined with visits to many of the great domaines of the Rhône and Burgundy lead to the release of his first wine from the 2006 vintage. His insightful interpretation of the Barossa is a beautiful thing.
